Since about 10 folks showed up on 1/24 (but no one on the subsequent weeks), it seems that office hours are still worth doing, but not so frequently. Come by with questions about imaging and/or analysis or just sit and listen to absorb some new info or new ways to do things with your science.

Workstation status (12/2/2023)
Last week, IT team and I needed to reconfigure WS0, WS1, and WS4. We are still recovering from a few unforeseen technical difficulties, but WS0 and WS1 and up (fresh installs) and WS4 should be back on Monday.
We are also working on investing in more modern rack server hardware….stay tuned on some big improvements coming in 2024.

4.5 hrs of your time will get you from beginner to expert.
After two successful runs, I am scheduling an updated version of my image analysis workshop. This is focused on the use of Nikon GA3, AI, etc. to get quantitative data out of your images. Three 1.5 hr sessions. Various dates and times are offered in the form (or just email Jim). Pic shows current open slots (as of 5PM 10/20).

$252 per person (equals 3 hrs of “basic training”, but you get 4.5 hrs of learning) IALS members will have this paid centrally, so it will cost your advisor $0.
MUST ATTEND ALL THREE SESSIONS FOR THE ENTIRE TIME
and
MUST BRING A LAPTOP
We will go over basics and advanced analysis routines, work on YOUR data, process YOUR data, and you will come out with an analysis pipeline that you can hone and use for your research.
